Spider Odyssey is an ongoing journey of discovery into the world of tarantulas. One that explores their behavior in captivity through close observation, curiosity, and a willingness to question what we think we know. It’s a living journal shaped by a fascination into natural behavior, and a desire to better understand tarantula behavior. Much of what you find here will be the product of my personal experiences, reflections, and ongoing projects in the hopes of inspiring others to take a closer look at their tarantulas. Readers are encouraged to reflect, share, and grow right alongside Spider Odyssey.
As I focus on only writing about things that I have personally experienced, and because I tend to focus my attention into learning as much as I can about each species in my care, my scope will be much narrower than keepers who focus on a larger variety of species. Any information you find here should be used in conjunction with other sources. I have compiled a list of resources that I personally recommend for people looking for broader information, or information specific to species that I am unfamiliar with.
